Georgia Darnell
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, MHCPC, MATACP, MBLRS.
Georgia qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2007 and has since built extensive experience across a wide range of musculoskeletal settings within both the NHS and private practice. She spent 12 years at Cambridge University Hospitals, working in musculoskeletal outpatient services, aquatic therapy, and trauma and orthopaedics. Alongside this role, Georgia has been a valued member of the Woodfield Physiotherapy team for the past 15 years. Working across both sectors has provided her with a broad and in-depth skill set, allowing her to deliver high-quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation across multiple clinical environments.
Georgia’s diverse clinical background enables her to effectively manage a wide range of conditions, including acute sports injuries, joint replacements, occupational injuries, and more persistent or complex conditions requiring longer-term rehabilitation. Her specialist interest lies in the rehabilitation of individuals following complex orthopaedic trauma, particularly those recovering from complex lower limb fractures and amputation. She has significant experience working alongside case management companies to ensure clients receive tailored, goal-focused rehabilitation programmes.
Georgia delivers rehabilitation across a variety of settings, combining land-based therapy at The Paddock Clinic in Thurleigh, clients’ homes, and a private gym in Great Staughton, alongside aquatic rehabilitation at The Paddock Pool in Thurleigh.
In addition, Georgia has a strong passion for Pilates and has been teaching locally at Colmworth Village Hall for many years. She is fully APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) trained in matwork Levels 1, 2, and 3, running a range of classes and incorporating Pilates into her one-to-one rehabilitation programmes.
Outside of work, Georgia enjoys running, strength training, and spending time adventuring with her young family.
